After a busy weekend it is always nice to come home to a bit of exciting post. After going through the pile of letters that are not so exciting (you know the ones….car tax reminders and insurance renewals) it was great to see that the second issue of my recent subscription had arrived!

What is it?

Biosphere! This is a brand new popular science magazine dedicated to the natural world – ecology, conservation, behaviour – all in one place. This magazine is great for keeping me up to date with current conservation issues as it is packed full of the most recent research. It also encourages me to read about a broad variety of issues and it really helps that the layout is just beautiful. The images used throughout are of such a high quality, giving the magazine a very sleek and sophisticated look.

It is also promising to see that the magazine is working closely with the scientists behind the research and I personally feel that it really is conveying updates from the scientific world in an engaging and energetic way.

There are many nature magazines out there making it very difficult to choose from. Of course, you can choose more than one, but unfortunately funds do not always allow for this. Do you currently have any subscriptions? If so, who and why? HOWL would love to know!
